El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y de Cooperación
El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y de Cooperación es el órgano de la Administración General del Estado de España que, en cumplimiento de las directrices del Gobierno y para hacer realidad la unidad de la acción del Estado en el exterior, tiene encomendada la realización de las siguientes funciones: planificar, dirigir, ejecutar y evaluar la Política Exterior del Estado; concertar y potenciar las relaciones de España con otros Estados y con las Organizaciones Internacionales; fomentar las relaciones económicas, culturales y científicas de España; dirigir la Política de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo; y ejercer la protección de los ciudadanos españoles en el exterior y participar en la propuesta y aplicación de la política de extranjerí
La Consejería de Educación en Australia y Nueva Zelanda
La Consejería de Educación en Australia y Nueva Zelanda es un órgano de las Embajadas de España en Canberra y Wellington cuyas funciones principales consisten en promover, gestionar y coordinar las actuaciones educativas encaminadas a la difusión de las lenguas y las culturas españolas en Australia y Nueva Zelanda, sin perjuicio de las competencias encomendadas a otros órganos de las respectivas misiones diplomáticas. Depende funcionalmente del Ministerio de Educación, y se ocupa de sus programas de actividad internacional en estos dos países.

The Department of European Languages had its beginnings way back in 1910 when it was first known as the Foreign Languages Section of the College of Philosophy, Science and Letters. This section, which offered four languages (French, German, Latin and Spanish), was established on June 3, 1910 to prepare students for Agriculture, Medicine, Veterinary Science, Law and Fine Arts. It is currently one of the six departments that comprise the present College of Arts and Letters, one of the three colleges established on October 6, 1983 from the three-way split of the former College of Arts and Sciences.

The Spanish Program, founded in 1968, provides a range of subjects within the general area of Hispanic and Iberian studies, that is, Spanish language, literatures and cultures at a number of different levels, Portuguese language in both its forms (those of Portugal and Brazil, spoken by approximately 200 million people), Catalan, the language of some seven million speakers, primarily in Spain, and Galician, one of the three historic languages of Spain. Latin American literature and culture occupy an equally important place in the Program's offerings.

In 2004 the Spanish Programme of the University of Canturbury (UC) established an exchange programme with the University of Castilla-La-Mancha in Spain. This unique opportunity provides an authentic environment to improve your linguistic skills in Spanish. Students have a chance to study in Spain for one or two semesters, usually in their second year of Spanish studies at UC, and suitable courses at Castilla-La-Mancha can be credited towards their degree.
For students studying towards degrees in areas such as Law, Commerce, Engineering or Science, the Diploma in Spanish Language provides a tertiary qualification in a foreign language which will enhance their employment opportunities, especially internationally.

The University of Tenri was founded on Feb.21.1949 and opened on Apr.1.1949. It began with the Faculty of Letters and established the Faculty of Foreign Language in 1952, the Faculty of Health and Sports Studies in 1955, and the Faculties of Human Studies and International Culture Studies on 1992. Presently, Tenri University consists of four faculties (Human Studies.Letters.International Culture Studies.and Health and Sports Studies)with 16 departments.

Nottingham's first civic college was opened in the city centre in 1881, four years after the foundation stone was laid by former Prime Minister, W E Gladstone. An anonymous benefactor had offered £10,000 for a college on condition that a suitable building be erected by the Council and that the college should be provided with £4,000 a year.
